Helitech Company Profile

Helitech, a division of Slabmasters, Inc. is a union commercial waterproofing, piering and foundation stabilization contractor. Helitech is very active in soil nail retention systems and environmental walkways and has completed multiple projects utilizing current technologies.

Slabmasters began as a concrete leveling company. Helitech was formed in Belleville, Ill. in 1988 by William J. Courtney and Ray Judd. In 1993, Helitech partnered with A. B. Chance and has grown to become the largest installer of A. B. Chance Foundation Systems and Solutia Hydraway Waterproofing Systems throughout the Midwest, including Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky.

"Helitech begins a project by reviewing project sites, providing economical cost proposals to clients in a timely manner," says Mr. Tim Combs, Senior Vice President. "The company establishes and maintains an ongoing, open line of communication with clients and provides technical educational seminars to meet design requirements."

The focus is on the client's needs, and Helitech's business philosophy ensures every effort is made to meet the client's expectations with regard to schedule, technical support and finalization of the project. Once a project is complete, the staff at Helitech follows up with correspondence, phone calls and meetings to ensure the client's needs and expectations were met during the job.

"Helitech's staff and its dedicated support team of professionals including structural, civil and geotechnical engineers who are able to provide knowledgeable structural and geotechnical support for earth embankment shoring, deep foundation, soil nail and rock anchor projects," says Helitech. "Helitech's operations personnel are certified by the A. B. Chance Company for installation procedures and also hold certification by the American Shotcrete Association (ASA)."

Each project is a small symbol of the success attained by the dedication and hard work of the company's staff.
